Croatian president pays UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic a visit in Cleveland

The UFC heavyweight champ is getting some major support from back home.

Not just from “The Land,” but from his country of origin, Croatia, where the Croatian president, herself, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, paid Stipe Miocic a visit in Cleveland.

Pretty cool, huh?

Miocic is seen wrapping Grabar-Kitarovic’s hands and holding mitts for her at his gym, Strong Style. Apparently she throws a mean left hook!

Croatian President Kolinda came to Cleveland and stopped by to visit me. What an honor. She throws a mean left hook! Thank you Croatia for always supporting me. Love you all. #SM”

Miocic, who is the son of Croatian immigrants, was born in Ohio, and has had an incredible amount of support from his home state. During his first UFC title reign, he was often seen at Cleveland Cavaliers games, as well as joining them in their NBA Finals championship parade. He is also an avid supporter of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns and was recently in attendance for their first win of the 2019 season.

Following his  fourth-round finish over Daniel Cormier at UFC 241, capturing the heavyweight title for a second time, Miocic celebrated with a victory dance, the “Croatian Kolo,” or some modified version of it, at least.

It’s good to see him get the support from his country of origin, and who knows, maybe we can see Miocic headline an event in Croatia before it’s all said and done. Wouldn’t that be something?
