A lack of quality in front of goal is arguably all that has been missing from Scotland so far in Group D but chances are coming their way, not least thanks to the midfield invention of rumoured Liverpool transfer target John McGinn, and it is surely only a matter of time before they take one.
And one might be all that Steve Clarke’s side need because Croatia have offered very little in attack so far, indeed their xGF figures are well shy of that accrued by the Scots in this tournament.

Normally, when both teams have to win, goals generally flow, but this might not pan out that way. With so much at stake between two teams that have struggled in front of goal, a single strike could be enough to gain maximum points.
Scotland are well equipped to shut up shop if they can get that all important goal so the 1-0 scoreline looks well worth a small play.
Steve Clarke’s men are a major threat from wide areas, particularly down the left hand side where Andy Robertson is a constant threat, and the 7/1 about the skipper popping up with an assist looks decent value.
