Croatia U21 vs England U21
European Under-21 Championship
Venue: Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle, San Marino
Date: Monday 24 June, 2019
Kick-off: 8:00pm BST, today

England will look to end a hugely disappointing European Under-21 Championship campaign on something of a high note when they meet Croatia in a dead-rubber fixture in San Marino this evening.

The Young Lions will be playing their final match of the tournament at the Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle, with successive defeats meaning they cannot qualify for the semi-finals.

Aidy Boothroyd's side were beaten 4-2 by Romania in Cesena on Friday after a frantic finish to the Group C clash, with all six goals coming in the final 18 minutes of a memorable encounter.

Such a damaging loss came just three days after England - who led for much of the second half thanks to Phil Foden's excellent effort - lost in gut-wrenching fashion to France, who missed two penalties but still emerged victorious courtesy of Nanitamo Ikone and a last-gasp own goal from Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Those losses continued what has been a slump in form for many of England's younger-age teams and came just a matter of weeks after the senior team were ousted from the Nations League semi-finals after committing two major extra-time errors against the Netherlands.

A dispiriting tournament has led to questions over Boothroyd's future, but the 48-year-old insists he is going nowhere.

Next opponents Croatia have also been eliminated after a 4-1 hammering by Romania was followed by a 1-0 loss at the hands of France.

Here's how to watch all the action...
