Croatia chief makes Nikola Vlasic admission as Everton transfer rumours grow

Croatia assistant manager Ivica Olic has admitted Nikola Vlasic has spoken to him about his Everton future.

The Blues man spent last term on loan with CSKA Moscow and had a fairly successful spell in Russia, bagging eight goals and seven assists in his 31 appearances for his temporary side in all competitions.

And that has already led to a lot of speculation over the youngster's long term future - with the 21-year-old being told last summer he wasn't part of Marco Silva's immediate plans.

That news came after making just 12 Premier League appearances for Everton across his first campaign with the club having sealed a move from Hajduk Split in 2017.

And now, former Bayern Munich attacker Ivica Olic has admitted he has spoken to Vlasic about his future - and claimed the youngster told him he wants to stay with CSKA Moscow.

Olic told Russian website Ria Novosti (via SportWitness ): "Nikola told me that he wants to stay at CSKA if he has the chance. He is very happy how things are going in Russia for him, he loves life there.

"I think he would like to stay in Russia for one or two years. His performances in Russia also caught the attention of national team coach Zlatko Dalic and those performances have played a big role for his national team career."
