Cristiano Ronaldo's time with Manchester United looks set to be coming to an end in dramatic fashion.
His interview with Piers Morgan which is set to be aired in full on Wednesday and Thursday night this week will likely tarnish any hopes of reconciliation between himself and the Reds. Ronaldo has already criticised the club, the manager and the owners - short of turning on his own teammates there are no bridges left to burn.
Game time for the 37-year-old has been limited during this campaign with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Antony all being in better form than him. Alejandro Garnacho is the latest player to stake his claim in the pecking order meaning the need for last season's record goalscorer has diminished too.

United should have perhaps known that something on this scale was going to come when Erik ten Hag arrived as manager. It was clear, unlike Ralf Rangnick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, that the Dutchman would not favour Ronaldo based solely on his name.
That is what has since transpired and now the Reds are having to deal with a very public divorce from the Portuguese great. Had some attention been given to Ronaldo's exit from Real Madrid in 2018, some of this fallout could have been avoided.
When asked why he decided to leave the Spanish capital for Juventus, Ronaldo told France Football : "I felt within the club, especially from the president, that I was no longer considered in the same way as I was at the beginning. For the first four or five years, I felt like Cristiano Ronaldo. Less so after.
"The president looked at me in a way that suggested I was no longer indispensable if you know what I mean. That is what made me think about leaving."
Ronaldo's current complaints about feeling 'disrespected' by Ten Hag echo the same sentiment he gave in 2018. The only difference on this occasion is that his stock is nowhere near as lucrative as it was after his spell at the Bernabeu.
