Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's quotes about playing for Manchester City have resurfaced amid speculation Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign for Manchester United's bitter rivals.
Ronaldo transformed into arguably the best player in the world during six seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, going on to dominate at Real Madrid and then Juventus.
But the 36-year-old is now looking for a new challenge - and another Champions League winners' medal - and reportedly sees City as his most viable option before a future move to MLS.
Earlier this year, Sergio Aguero was linked with a move to United. Solskjaer quickly dismissed the rumours by saying: "When you play for Man United you don’t go to Man City."

"When I played for Man United, if a rival club tried to sign me, and I had gone, well where’s the loyalty?" Solskjaer said.
"Loyalty is one of the values I really, really put highly. I wouldn’t expect any player who has played for a club for 10 years to want to go to their local rivals.
"It’s not for me. I know we’re professionals, but when you play for Man Utd you don’t go to Man City. We’ve had examples of that and I didn’t really agree with it.
