Cristiano Ronaldo takes swipe at Juventus team-mate in training incident

Cristiano Ronaldo got his own back on team-mate Juan Cuadrado during a training incident as Juventus warmed up for their Champions League clash with Lyon.

The Italian side are aiming to overturn a 1-0 deficit in Turin and were engaging in a quick passing drill.

Ronaldo misplaced a pass which saw Cuadrado and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny mock him by copying his celebration.

But the Portuguese star didn't take the joke well and seconds later put in a strong challenge on Cuadrado.

The Juventus forward was forced to take evasive action as he bore the brunt of Ronaldo's frustration.

With the Bianconeri needing to comeback against their French opponents the pressure is on the 35-year-old.

Juventus were knocked out in this competition at the quarter finals by Ajax last term which was Ronaldo's earliest exit since 2010.

He has previously lifted Europe's most coveted prize on five occasions - once with Manchester United and four times with Real Madrid.

Since moving to Italy Ronaldo has been criticised despite an impressive goal tally that has seen him score 63 goals in 88 appearances.

His side limped home to secure a ninth straight Serie A title, although the manner of the victory has not been well received.

Juventus won two of their final eight games which has seen pressure mount on boss Maurizio Sarri.

The former Napoli tactician arrived from Chelsea in the summer but is in need of a result tonight - nevertheless, he has dismissed the idea that his job rides on success against Lyon.

"I don't think my future is riding on this game," said Sarri.

"Thinking this way you make the club directors look like amateurs.

"I think I'm dealing with high level directors. They will decide whether to continue or to change. But it doesn't depend on a single game."
