Cristiano Ronaldo splashes out £5.5m on new luxury yacht after Juventus title win

Cristiano Ronaldo has celebrated winning Serie A again with Juventus in style by splashing out an eye-watering £5.5m on a new luxury yacht.

The 35-year-old secured the seventh domestic title of his career following Juve's 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday, in which he scored the opener.

It is a second year in a row that Ronaldo's goals have helped fire his side to a Serie A win, and he clearly felt in the mood to treat himself following the achievement.

Pictures showed the Portuguese star relaxing with his family aboard the boat, which boasts five cabins, six bathrooms, a large lounge and a contemporary kitchen.

It is believed that Ronaldo chose the yacht after seeing it at the Azimut-Benetti shipyards in Viareggio, and he and his loved ones set sail for the first time along the coasts of Celle Liguire last week.

His partner Georgina Rodriguez shared photos of Ronaldo enjoying a big meal, before taking a dip and enjoying a coffee.

Also on board were his four children, Cristiano Jr (10), Mateo (3), Alana Martina (2) and Eva Maria (3).

It is thought the family are planning to spend the summer holidays on the yacht once Juventus ' elongated campaign finally comes to a finish.

Juve have one match of their Serie A season to play, when they take on Roma on Saturday, before they take on Lyon in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on August 7.

The sides are level from the first game following a 1-1 draw in France, and Ronaldo will no doubt be desperate to help fire his side to glory and try to win what would be a staggering sixth Champions League trophy.

Ronaldo has already tasted glory in the competition once with Manchester United and four times with Real Madrid.
