Cristiano Ronaldo snubs Gary Neville prior to Manchester United vs West Ham

Cristiano Ronaldo chose to ignore Gary Neville before Manchester United's Premier League clash with West Ham.

As the teams emerged to warm up before kick-off, the Portuguese superstar greeted former teammate Louis Saha and Jamie Redknapp at Sky Sports' pitchside punditry booth.

However, despite Neville being stood next to Redknapp, Ronaldo chose not to acknowledge him. The United striker snubbed his ex-captain before running off to train with the rest of United’s squad.

A week ago, Neville urged United chiefs to offload the forward after his antics against Tottenham Hotspur. Erik ten Hag revealed Ronaldo refused to come off the bench in the dying embers of the 2-0 win.

"We know him, we love him, but he (Ronaldo) can't accept not being the star man," Neville said. "He's going to have to leave, that's it. That's all it is.

“I hope he leaves next week. He can say to the club, 'thank you very much' and find a new club, because I’d like to see him score goals until he's 42, scoring 1,000 goals."

After the snub, Neville joked he is likely “off the Christmas card list” as other pundits laughed at his expense. Ronaldo was named in the starting line-up for United’s game against the Hammers.
