Cristiano Ronaldo shows off ripped physique aged 34 ahead of Juventus vs Roma

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy the aging process in a latest snap showing off his ripped physique.

The 34-year-old is no stranger to putting in the extra hours in the gym in a bid to stay in perfect shape.

And judging by his latest Instagram post he's doing a decent job, as he performed a topless kettlebell routine.

Ronaldo captioned his post: "Morning Workout," alongside a strong-arm emoji, as he prepares for the crucial clash between Juventus and Roma on Sunday.

The striker is heading into the fixture in stunning form, too, having notched nine goals in his last seven appearances.

His second-half hat-trick against Cagliari on Monday helped Juve move momentarily ahead of title rivals Inter Milan, who they are now joint-top with in Serie A.

It was Ronaldo's second treble for the Old Lady, with his only other hat-trick coming in the Champions League last season.

Not only that, but Ronaldo's three-goal haul meant he joined an exclusive club of players to score hat-tricks in England, Spain and Italy.

Former Man Utd and current Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is the only other player to achieve the feat.

The hat-trick was the 36th of his glittering career, but one accomplishment he has missed out on is a place in Steven Gerrard's all-time five-a-side team.

Ronaldo and Gerrard were Premier League rivals during their time at Man Utd and Liverpool respectively.

And Gerrard omitted Ronaldo from his fantasy side, but included the Portuguese star's rival Lionel Messi.

Gerrard said: "There are certain players who are on a different level to anyone else out there, Messi and Ronaldo.

"But Ronaldo doesn't get in my team. I am more about what you are going to do for the team.

"He will win you things but I am more about a team player than an individual player."
