Cristiano Ronaldo sets targets for Manchester United return

Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants 'to win great things' in his second spell at Manchester United.

The Portuguese forward officially rejoined United on transfer deadline day after a sensational saga which almost saw him join fierce rivals Man City instead.

Ronaldo, 36, was open to a controversial move amid frustrations at former side Juventus but soon had his heart set on a return to Old Trafford after being contacted by legendary mentor Sir Alex Ferguson.

During his previous six-years at the club Ronaldo helped United to win three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one Champions League and a Club World Cup.

He also won the first of five Ballon d'Or's during his first spell at Old Trafford and Ronaldo admits he is targeting even more silverware having made his return official.

“I think it’s the best decision that I have made it," he told MUTV.

"It’s right on point in my opinion.

"I moved from Juve now to Manchester, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help Manchester achieve great results, to win trophies and number one of them, to win great things.”
