Cristiano Ronaldo sends defiant Manchester United message ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea fixtures

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has told his teammates to ‘get the job done’ ahead of facing both Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Red Devils had been in indifferent form ahead of the international break, winning just three out of their last ten games in all competitions and dropping to sixth in the Premier League table.

Those poor displays had seen manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer come under severe pressure but he has kept his job ahead of a testing run of fixtures.

United do battle with Watford this weekend and then Spanish side Villarreal in the Champions League. Clashes against London duo Arsenal and Chelsea follow as the Christmas period then takes hold.

Ahead of the games, Ronaldo has sent a motivating message to his teammates and supporters.

Taking to Instagram, the Portuguese superstar wrote: “Time to role up the sleeves once again and just get the job done! Let’s chase what we are trying to achieve this season!”

The former Real Madrid forward has been a pivotal figure for the Red Devils since returning to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer.

He has netted nine goals in just 12 appearances in all competitions despite the club’s disappointing form.

The 36-year-old will no doubt be aiming to continue that against both Arsenal and Chelsea in the coming weeks.

Ronaldo has previously scored six goals in 15 career appearances against the Gunners, whilst he has found the net just once in as many outings versus Chelsea.

Interestingly, he has never managed to score at Stamford Bridge throughout his career, with his only goal against the Blues coming in the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow.
