Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly prioritising a shock return to Manchester United amid growing doubts over his future at Juventus.
Ronaldo has overseen another managerial change in Turin after a tumultuous domestic campaign ended in Juventus scraping Champions League qualification on the final day.
Despite Ronaldo finishing the Serie A season as top goalscorer, Juve failed to win Italy's top flight title for the first time in a decade and Andrea Pirlo was subsequently sacked.
Massimiliano Allegri was re-appointed to change the club's fortunes, two years after leaving following a successful spell in charge.
But the 53-year-old boss appears to have already made a decision over Ronaldo, with the Portuguese icon not in his future plans.
According to Spanish publication Cadena Ser, Allegri does not want to keep the five-time Ballon d'Or winner at the Allianz Stadium next season.
The report claims that Ronaldo would have left the Italian giants had they not secured Champions League football, but he is now considering his next move regardless of the qualification for Europe's elite competition.
Ronaldo is said to be in a period of 'reflection' and a return to Old Trafford is attracting the 36-year-old to the point where it has now become his priority.
The forward has one-year left on his current deal and has never ruled out a return to United, where he transformed into an elite star.
Ronaldo scored 118 times in 292 appearances for the Red Devils before making an £80m move to Real Madrid in 2009.
Meanwhile, Allegri's return to the Old Lady is the latest move in the managerial merry-go-round across Europe this summer.
