You can say one thing about the Glazers … they love signing a GOAT.
First, Tom Brady for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and, now, Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United, the club who gave him the platform to become a contender for the Greatest Of All Time title.
Brady helped win the Super Bowl for the Buccaneers, now it is Ronaldo’s turn at Old Trafford.
With Ronaldo back - having already signed Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho and kept Paul Pogba - nothing less than a Premier League or Champions League title will be good enough this season.
That is the pressure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be under.
No more talk about building long-term, no more chat about a developing team.

With, remarkably, Ronaldo added to the ranks, there is no doubting the man-for-man excellence of the United squad.
There will be no hiding place for Solskjaer, not even when judged against the might of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
Keeping this array of talent happy will not be easy. During his time at Juventus, Ronaldo has shown he can be a handful for a manager.
And there will be plenty of fantastic players struggling to get game-time in the Premier League and in Europe.
But that is what elite management is all about.
There is a valid argument that says Ronaldo, at the age of 36, is past his best.
They said that about Brady when the Glazers recruited him to start a season at the age of 43 but he proved to be a talisman and much more.
That is what will be expected of Ronaldo.
And United already have the odd talisman or two.
In the cold light of day, there is probably still a gap between City and United, despite the former’s lack of strikers and the latter’s surplus of them.
But Ronaldo returning to the Old Trafford gold is a game-changer.
And now, it is over to Ole.
Now, we will find out whether or not he has truly got what it takes to belong to the managerial big-time.
