Manchester United have officially signed Cristiano Ronaldo's son, Cristiano Junior.
The news has arrived just days after the youngster was pictured training with his father in the recent Premier League winter break.
Cristiano Jnr was pictured posing for official photographs with his father's infamous No.7 shirt, confirming that he has plans to follow in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's footsteps.
Posing alongside fellow talented youngster Gabriel, who already has a sponsorship deal with sportswear giant Nike, Cristiano Jnr is set to be introduced to United's Under-11s squad.
Gabriel, who was holding up a shirt with his name and No.10 on the back, posted on Instagram: "Delighted to finally have my signing day done, even better to have mine with team-mates @Cristiano JR."
Ronaldo has not yet commented on the news of his son joining the club and neither has his son, as he does not have his own social media account, though his mum Georgina Rodriguez posted photos on Instagram with the caption: "Pursuing our dreams together. Mom loves you."
Although Cristiano Jnr is considered a bright prospect and has already tipped to enjoy a successful career, Ronaldo Snr has never applied pressure to his son to follow in his footsteps and become a professional footballer.
"Only time will tell," said Ronaldo in Rodriguez's new Netflix series, 'I Am Georgina'. "I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants.
"Also what I want the most for Cristiano and everyone else is that they're happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way."
Speaking in December 2020, the United star continued: "We'll see if my son will become a great footballer. He has potential. He is fast and dribbles well, but that is not enough.
"I always tell him that it takes work and dedication to have success. I won’t pressure him to become a footballer, but if you ask me if I want him to, yes I would like it.
"The most important thing is to become the best at whatever he does, whether it is as a footballer or a doctor."
