It's expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line for Manchester United after making his sensational return to Old Trafford.
The 36-year-old has converted from a winger to a traditional no.9 as his career has progressed for club and country.
And it's the position that makes the most sense given Man Utd's multiple options out wide.
But Paolo Di Canio doesn't see it that way as he reckons that Ronaldo will revert to the left-wing position he played for the Red Devils during his first spell at the club.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport's In The Box podcast, Di Canio said: "Ronaldo will improve the technical level, but he joins a team with many strikers and wingers.

Where will Ole Gunnar Solskjaer play Cristiano Ronaldo? Comment below
"Solskjaer said he sees him as a center-forward, but Ronaldo didn't want to do it at Juventus.
"I still see him starting on the left, but United have other players in the same position, including Sancho, who was paid €85million, but has been struggling to settle in so far."
Does Di Canio have a point or is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer right to view him as a striker?
We've had a look to see how he could operate in both positions and what is his best fit for United.
Winger
Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world no matter where you play him which means Solskjaer won't rule out playing him as a winger.
And if he's wanting to fit him and Edinson Cavani into the same team then it's a realistic option.
Cavani would be deployed as the no.9 in this scenario with Ronaldo on the left, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood or Marcus Rashford on the other side, with Bruno Fernandes as the no.10.
It's expected that Cavani will play second fiddle to Ronaldo, but if he carries on the form he showed towards the second half of last season then Solskjaer might be forced to make room for him.
And he can accommodate that by moving Ronaldo out to the left.

Striker
This seems the most sensible option given that's where Ronaldo has predominantly operated for Juventus and Portugal.
His loss of a yard or two of speed means he has made the transition into a no.9. And a deadly one at that.
Ronaldo's position change has been seamless as he has everything that a striker needs which is exactly why Solskjear wants to use him in that role.
Man Utd also have Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood among their ranks, not to mention they spent £73million on Jadon Sancho this summer, who are all typically deployed out wide.
Unless Solskjear plans to drop two out of these three players then Ronaldo will be playing as a striker.
Conclusion
There is no denying that in Ronaldo's prime, he was at his best out wide for United and Real Madrid.
If Man Utd were getting that version of Ronaldo then it's a no-brainer - but they're not.
Ronaldo's electric speed was a big reason he was so devastating on the wing as he effortlessly skipped by opponents. And as much as he is no slouch for a 36-year-old, he has a lost a step or two.
Ronaldo isn't getting any younger either so he's likely to be less effective as a winger as time goes on.
He's proven he can still be one of the best players in the world as a no.9, however.
It's a position that United are lacking in whereas they have endless options out wide - it's a straightforward decision to play him as a striker.
Verdict: Striker
