The closing of the transfer window is edging ever closer and it looks like there could be a flurry of late activity on the horizon. Are Manchester United content with their summer business or will they look to respond to rivals Manchester City's pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo?
Ronaldo returns
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few days, you'll already have heard the stomach-churning rumours that former United player Ronaldo may be on his way back to Manchester, but this time he could be playing in blue.
The Daily Express report that Ronaldo has said goodbye to his Juventus teammates as he and his agent push for a move away from Italy.
City are clearly desperate to bring in a forward this summer, but could this spark late movement from United?

The acquisition of Ronaldo would obviously give City a huge boost, and securing the signing of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner would arguably trump United's summer business despite their solid window so far.
Fabrizio Romano had reported United were offered Ronaldo but didn't show any interest.
Dalot domino effect?
Although Diogo Dalot seems to still be a part of United's future plans, Borussia Dortmund are understood to be monitoring the right-back's situation.
United were keen to secure the signing of Kieran Trippier earlier this summer, but that interest seems to have now faded away.

However, could Dortmund's links with a move for Dalot spark a revival of United's interest in Trippier?
Given his experience in England as well as his successful spell with Atletico Madrid, Trippier would be a great addition to the squad and would provide Aaron Wan-Bissaka with some serious competition for the right-back spot.
One other aspect to consider is that Trippier can also play at left-back, and so he would provide United with some much-needed versatility which could prove key later in the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stressed on a number of occasions the importance of squad depth and if Dalot was to make the switch to Germany, that would leave Wan-Bissaka as United's only recognised right-back.
McTominay injury adds emphasis to United's midfielder hunt
After United addressed their weaknesses at centre-back and right-wing with the additions of Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, focus quickly shifted to whether they could secure a holding midfielder.
Arguably the club's current strongest holding midfield is Scott McTominay, though the Scot has recently been ruled out with a groin injury.
This leaves only 33-year-old Nemanja Matic and Fred to fill the midfield void, both of whom have experienced rocky starts to the season.
Amid links to the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Ruben Neves and Saul Niguez, United are still yet to make a formal bid for a holding midfielder this window, but in light of the McTominay injury, Solskjaer may have no choice but to make a late move.
