Sir Alex's rivalry stance
Manchester United icon Sir Alex Ferguson has celebrated his 80th birthday – and very few people have had the impact on Cristiano Ronaldo's career the Scottish icon has.
Sir Alex signed Ronaldo as a young prospect from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 and has always held the Portuguese forward in high regard.
Ronaldo has often been compared to rival Lionel Messi with fans across the world debating which is the better player – and Sir Alex Ferguson has a very simple answer.
While Ferguson believes you "can't dispute" the opinion that Messi is the world's best player, in 2015 he explained exactly why he thinks Ronaldo is actually better than his counterpart.
Ronaldo sends message
Cristiano Ronaldo has sent Manchester United a message as he overtook former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the club's goalscoring charts.
Some fans had questioned whether Ronaldo was part of the problem under his old boss but he has responded emphatically with his goalscoring exploits this season.
He's now netted 14 times in 21 appearances and scored once again against Burnley on Thursday night.
And Ronaldo has now managed something Solskjaer couldn't for United as he scored his 92nd goal for the club – one more than the previous Red Devils boss.
Ronaldo offered Premier League switch
United star Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered an unlikely Premier League switch – by Wolves boss Bruno Lage.
Ronaldo's fellow Portuguese has suggested he would more than happily take his countryman at the Molineux should he ever decide to leave Old Trafford.
And ahead of his side's trip to Manchester on Monday, Lage was full of praise for "machine" Ronaldo as he makes plans to stop the United no. 7 from scoring in his next Premier League outing.
