Cristiano Ronaldo next club odds after Manchester United amid Saudi Arabia bid

Cristiano Ronaldo is in search of a new club after he departed from Manchester United.

Though a decision will be made after Portugal have finished at the World Cup, things are expected to move quickly after the tournament ends. According to Sky Bet, his most likely destination is Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo's odds to move to any Saudi Arabian club currently sits at 1/5. This is because the only official bid on the table for the 37-year-old is currently from Al Nassr.

If Ronaldo was to move to Saudi Arabia, he would earn £175m over two-and-a-half years with Al Nassr. This would make the Portuguese the best-paid player in football history.

But nothing is set in stone; when Ronaldo was asked about a Marca story that stated that he had already accepted the offer, he replied: “No, that’s not true – not true."

But where else could Ronaldo move?

The next highest odds on Sky Bet list Sporting Libson (8/1) as his second most likely destination. Ronaldo obviously started his career with the Portuguese team and a return would be seen as a homecoming.

Following Sporting, two Premier League clubs are listed at 12/1 which are Chelsea and Newcastle. Chelsea and Todd Boehly were consistently linked with a move for the 37-year-old in summer and Newcastle are looking to build on their success so far this season.

Rounding out the top 10 are Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid at 14/1, any MLS club at 16/1 and finally Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich at 20/1.
