Cristiano Ronaldo met with Sir Alex Ferguson when he visited Manchester United's training ground following the heavy 5-0 defeat by Liverpool last weekend.
Ferguson arrived at Carrington days after the match to be fitted for a suit and briefly spoke with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo.
The Scot was scheduled to visit United on the day regardless of the Liverpool result and was not there in a footballing capacity.

Solskjaer explained Ferguson's visit in his Friday press conference, ahead of United's clash with Tottenham, when he was asked whether he can survive being sacked and if he spoke to the Scot.

"Yes, on both accounts, if that's short and sweet. Joking apart, we had a commercial day," Solskjaer said. "Sir Alex came for some commercial stuff. We spoke for a brief moment because he was in there with Cristiano.
"I've been through some very bad moments as a player here and when I've been a manager. I've dealt with setbacks, there have been two or three crises at least since I became manager here and one thing I can say is I'll always give it a good shot and fight back."
Solskjaer is under immense pressure following the Liverpool result and reports suggest Brendan Rodgers, Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane are all in the running to replace him.
He admitted he has had a difficult week but revealed his determination to turn things around.

"It's been a difficult week, of course," he said.
"We've had to deal with the result and performance against Liverpool which we know wasn't good enough and that's something that footballers have to deal with, that's why we're in this game, you have to look forward to the next game, make sure you're ready.
"And when you get to that next game sort it out and challenge the problems. We've had a good week on the training field."
Man United face Spurs this weekend before taking on Atalanta in the Champions League.
