Cristiano Ronaldo 'leaves Italy on jet' to complete transfer to Manchester club

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly left Turin on a jet to complete a transfer away from Juventus.

The Portuguese has reportedly agreed on terms with Manchester City following a meeting with his agent Jorge Mendes and Juventus, and a subsequent chat with Pep Guardiola.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed Ronaldo skipped training on Friday, after saying goodbye to his teammates, and intends to leave the club within the next few days.

He said: "Cristiano Ronaldo told me yesterday that he wants to leave Juventus immediately.

"It's true and confirmed. This is why he wasn't training today and he's not available for tomorrow's match against Empoli."

According to Sky Sports, Ronaldo has now boarded a plane out of Turin.

Man City appeared to have the transfer in the bag, but Manchester United remain linked with Ronaldo.

And on Friday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did little to play down speculation the Red Devils could land the forward.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is probably the greatest player of all time with [Lionel] Messi. I didn't think Ronaldo would leave Juventus," said the Man United boss.

"There has been speculation. We have always had good communication. He knows what we feel about him. If he is going to move he knows we are here."

It has since been reported that Man United's owners, the Glazer family, are attempting to hijack Man City's transfer for Ronaldo.

According to Manchester Evening News, they believe re-signing the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will go some way to repairing their relationship with fans following the European Super League debacle.
