A one-off Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired registration plate is to be offered at auction at the end of March.
Previously purchased during the 37-year-old Manchester United star's first stint in England, the number plate will go up for bidding from March 30 and is estimated to rise to between £20,000 and £30,000. Ronaldo is well-known for his glamorous super vehicles and was gifted a £150,000 Cadillac Escalade for his birthday, last month.
Ronaldo sensationally returned to United on deadline day in August, ending his 12-year spell away from Old Trafford that included a number of Ballon d'Or's as well as Champions League and domestic honours in Spain and Italy. The seven-digit number plate 'CR07 RON' features the initials and number synonymous with the Portugal captain.

Detailed at the bottom of the front registration plate is "MUFC - Theatre of Dreams - 'Sir Alex this one's for you' M16 0RA" and on the rear plate "MUFC - Theatre of Dreams 'The last Dance' MR16 0RA". The latter is the postcode of Old Trafford.
Auctioneer Adam Partridge will have the item available for bidding at 10am on Wednesday, March 30. "Only last year I appeared on Football Focus talking about the history of the FA Cup, and now I get another opportunity to handle a piece of footballing history," he said.

They added: "With Cristiano Ronaldo being such a global ambassador for the sport, the auction is bound to generate interest from all over the world, yet we have the opportunity to sell it just a few miles away from where he spent so many years entertaining fans in Manchester."
The plate is accompanied by a certificate of entitlement, meaning there are no restrictions for any buyers. Yet the hefty estimate of the Ronaldo registration plate isn't the most expensive in recent years after the Hindu-related registration plate KR15 HNA sold for an incredible £233,000, in 2015.
