Cristiano Ronaldo has swept all before him in Serie A this season, but he showed that he is still human after suffering an awkward gaffe with the player of the year trophy.
Ronaldo, who finished the campaign with 21 goals and 8 assists in 31 appearances, won the award after helping Juventus to an eighth Serie A crown in a row.
In the video posted online, Ronaldo can be seen standing on the pitch with son Cristiano Jr. and his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.
Ronaldo Sr., who is standing in the middle of the three, is holding the huge trophy aloft as the media look to photograph him.

But, seemingly distracted by all that is going on around him, Ronaldo Sr. loses control of the trophy, which hits his son on the side of his face.
Cristiano Jr. rubs his face before his grandmother, Ronaldo Sr.'s mother makes sure he is okay.
But Ronaldo, seemingly still without a proper handle on the trophy, is still holding it while it sways in the other direction, straight into girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
She pulls an unimpressed face as it hits her chest, before taking a strong grip on the cup herself to prevent any more mishaps.
Trophy now secure, the family all smile and pose for the camera.
