Cristiano Ronaldo questioned Manchester United 's younger players ahead of their historic 5-0 drubbing to Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Portuguese forward's recent comments suggests there is some unrest within the dressing room, particularly among the more senior players.
As quoted by DAZN via The Telegraph, Ronaldo said: “I don’t mean only in football, this new generation since probably 1995 they are thinking different.

"The life, the football, the struggles, this has to come from inside of you. You have to accept some times that you don’t agree with."
Several members of United's squad were born after 1995, including Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, Diogo Dalot, Jadon Sancho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Dean Henderson, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood.

Ronaldo is particularly frustrated by Greenwood, according to reports, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggling to get the two on the same page.
The experienced forward is believed to be annoyed at Greenwood's tendency to shoot rather than supply him with a scoring opportunity.
Ronaldo is not the type of player to work tirelessly for the team and needs others around him, especially the forwards, to help him produce the goods.
The Portuguese icon flourished at United between 2006 and 2009 - scoring 66 Premier League goals in three seasons - thanks to Wayne Rooney taking on much of his work load.
Speaking in September, Rooney warned United's stars: "I've said before, the rest of his teammates will have to work a little harder."
Ronaldo, 36, is United's biggest star but Greenwood, 20, is viewed as the future of the club and Solskjaer may be reluctant to side with the veteran.
It's believed other senior professionals, such as Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic, are also frustrated at the manager for not getting more opportunities.
When Ronaldo signed for United in 2003, he famously had several disagreements with incumbent striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
At the time, the Portuguese talent was playing as a winger and his job was to produce scoring opportunities for his established Dutch colleague.
Ronaldo eventually adapted his game to deliver for Van Nistelrooy before becoming the main man after the veteran's departure in 2006.

He also had to play in the shadows of iconic winger Luis Figo at Portugal until his international retirement after that year's World Cup.
Ronaldo added: "I remember in our generation, 1985, it was more difficult to play in the first team. I remember how tough it was to play for Manchester United and even in the national team.
"But if you see around the world now things are coming a little bit easier and they don’t appreciate the lot. This is my point of view."
