Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys a spot of diving during French break with Georgina Rodriguez

Cristiano Ronaldo has regularly been accused of simulation throughout his illustrious career, but it seems the Juventus star also excels at another type of diving.

The 35-year-old is currently enjoying a well-earned break in St Tropez alongisde partner Georgina Rodriguez, with the pair staying aboard their stunning £5.5m yacht.

But it seems the former Man Utd man cannot stay still for long after he shared footage of himself indulging in a spot of diving during his holiday.

In a clip uploaded to the former Real Madrid attacker's Instagram account on Saturday, Ronaldo can be seen holding his breath as he dived further into the sea using a line as his guide.

Once he made it to the bottom of the rope, the 35-year-old turned to face the camera and gave a thumbs-up sign before starting his ascent through the water back to the top.

After he had resurfaced, Ronaldo could be heard bellowing out his now trademark 'Siu', clearly impressed after being able to hold his breath for around a minute in total.

Ronaldo's caption on the clip revealed the Juventus forward had made it down to a depth of 14 metres, before he chose to return to above the waves.

The aerobic feat won the 35-year-old plenty of praise online, with one fan replying: "This is class".

Juve team-mate Juan Cuadrado, though, suggested Ronaldo should have upped the difficulty as he commented: "It's easy to get off like this, pulling the rope."

Ronaldo certainly appears to be making the most of his time off with Juventus not involved in the closing stages of the Champions League currently taking place in Portugal.

The Italian giants were knocked out by Lyon last week, a result which saw Maurizio Sarri sacked as manager despite winning Serie A last season.

Juventus legend Andrea Pirlo as been appointed as manager in Sarri's place and it will be intriguing to see his plans for Ronaldo next term.
