Cristiano Ronaldo drops Al-Nassr future hint after offer to London club

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence on reports that he wants to leave Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, five months after signing a two-year deal worth £175m-a-year.

The 38-year-old moved to the Middle East after his TV interview with Piers Morgan prior to the World Cup. Ronaldo publicly criticised the running of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag and the owners, resulting in him mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

Ronaldo has scored 12 goals in 15 games for Al-Nassr in their Pro League title battle with Nuno Espirito Santo's Al-Ittihad, but recent reports have insisted he wants to leave the club already.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, the Portugal legend has been offered a chance to return to Real Madrid in a non-playing role. But Ronaldo has seemed to squash the rumours of him wanting to leave the club, with a social media post.

The forward posted a selfie of him wearing a Al-Nassr baseball cap while sunbathing on his Instagram story. Ronaldo is often one to post images from training and matchdays on his social media platforms but this hints at him staying put.

Ronaldo's post comes hours after National League side Bromley turned down the chance to sign Ronaldo. Vanarama's Twitter account posted a graphic of Ronaldo in Bromley's home shirt with the caption, "It's not too late if you want to play in white next season, @Cristiano".

Bromley, who are three games away from the English Football League, quickly rebuffed the idea, tweeting: "Nah, you're alright."
