Cristiano Ronaldo has congratulated Sam Kerr on her Chelsea move.
Widely regarded as one of the finest players on the planet, Kerr will join the Blues when the mid-season transfer window opens on December 27, after agreeing a two-and-a-half-year deal to make her one of the WSL's highest-earners.
Ronaldo is clearly a fan, reposting Kerr's own announcement post on Instagram and adding the caption: "Yesss [Sam Kerr]! Another dream in the making."
The 26-year-old has been linked with Chelsea since the summer but they faced competition from a host of top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon and Barcelona following the striker's announcement that she would not be returning to Perth Glory in Australia’s W-League, having finished the NWSL season with Chicago Red Stars.
"The WSL is the best league in Europe," said Kerr, who will wear the No.20 shirt.
"I want team success and I don’t want it to come easy. I feel Chelsea have been building something special over the years and I want to be a part of that – I want to lift some trophies."
The Ballon d'Or short-listed forward has also twice been named the most valuable player in the NWSL, including last season, when she scored a record 19 goals in 23 games, despite missing part of the campaign at the World Cup
