Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday made his 181st appearance for Portugal, bettering the European record previously held by Spain's Sergio Ramos.
Ronaldo 's latest records adds to the all-time international goals scored feat last month, which was previously held by Iran forward Ali Daei.
Shortly after his return to Old Trafford earlier this year, Ronaldo equalised in the 89th minute against Ireland to score his 110th goal for Portugal, bettering Daei's record by one.
Ronaldo then scored again deep into stoppage time to complete a sensational comeback for his nation and extend his record to 111 international goals.
The 36-year-old has now extended that record even further after scoring goal number 112 with a left-footed effort in the 37th minute of his nation's friendly against Qatar on Saturday night.
And there's even more reason for United fans to celebrate the goal – it was assisted by right-back Diogo Dalot.
Former Southampton and West Ham defender José Fonte scored Portugal's second at the beginning of the second half and André Silva netted in the final minute as Portugal ran out 3-0 winners
The match also saw Cristiano Ronaldo break clear of Sergio Ramos in having made the most international appearances as the United forward gained his 181st cap.
Portugal will play Luxembourg in their next game on Tuesday night.
