Bruno Fernandes' latest match-winning exploits for Manchester United have received a seal of approval from his international team-mate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fernandes was the star man again for United as he scored twice in a 4-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir at Old Trafford.
His first of the night came in just the seventh minute when he smashed home a half-volley from the edge of the penalty area and then tapped in his second after Mert Gunok dropped a routine cross into the box at his feet.
After the match, Fernandes took to Instagram to celebrate by posting a photo of himself with his thumb in his mouth.
Fernandes' team-mates Juan Mata and Alex Telles were among the players to comment on the picture and Ronaldo gave the post a like along with over 300,000 followers.
Fernandes could have had a first-half hat trick but he passed up the opportunity by handing the ball to Marcus Rashford when United were awarded a penalty.
And the 26-year-old revealed he promised Rashford he would allow him to take United's next penalty at the weekend.
He told BT Sport: "Of course every player wants to score a hat-trick, but after the last game in the Premier League I told Rashford he could take the next one.
"I remembered that. And also because he is one of the top-scorers in the Champions League I think it will be important for him to keep going there, and getting that confidence.
"It doesn't matter who takes the penalties, the most important thing is scoring, and the team scores.
"When the team scores, I score too."
