Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that Manchester United need to improve after the Reds' 2-2 draw against Atalanta.
Atalanta took the lead against United through Josip Ilicic - David de Gea should have done better - just after the 10-minute mark, but Ronaldo got Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side back into the game again after a brilliantly worked team goal on the stroke of half-time.
The Italians regained the lead in the second half when Duvan Zapata took advantage of United's sloppy defending, though.
United then frantically searched for an equaliser and their efforts seemed in vain until Ronaldo produced a moment of brilliance deep in stoppage time, finding the back of the net with an expertly taken first-time volley from just outside the box to score.
Ronaldo continues to save United with his goals and he reflected on the performance after the game.
"It was a difficult game. When you play against Atalanta in Bergamo, it’s always difficult," Ronaldo told BT Sport.
"We believed until the end and I helped my team to earn a point and I’m so happy. We never give up, we fight until the end. It’s a very good result for us I think. The beginning was tough, we knew Atalanta would put us under a lot of pressure.
"They have a fantastic coach, they know what to do all the time on the pitch. They are always difficult to play against.
"We did our job and we defended well. We have to still improve, we have different players, different system, the football is different, we have to adapt to each other. It will take time. In my opinion, we have time to improve and to be better."
