Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted Manchester United haven't played well across the 'last five or six' fixtures.
Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford this summer with the hope of winning the Premier League title, but that challenge is already over after a dismal start to the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November following weeks of poor results and Ralf Rangnick was appointed as the Norwegian's interim successor. However, the German has since failed to inspire any improvement in terms of performances on the pitch, despite a better return of results and clean sheets since his arrival.
While United have two games in hand, they are currently 22 points behind the runaway league leaders, Manchester City.
Ronaldo has reflected on the season's fortunes and his views on United's form will no doubt be shared by supporters.
“I’m not the right person to say we have to change this and that," Ronaldo told SkySports.
"I think in general, let’s be honest, you think in the last five or six times, Manchester United have played well?
"No. You [the interviewer] know that and everyone knows that. We have time to improve, we have the potential in the squad, we have a new manager, why don’t we believe that we can do it better?
"We have to believe, we have to be positive to try and change, to play as Manchester United fans want and the history of the club."
