For more than 10 years, Tom Catena, an American surgeon and Catholic missionary, has been treating patients at a hospital in Sudan's remote Nuba Mountains region. He tells us more about his work in the field, where he has chosen to stay and help locals, despite the hospital being targeted by the Sudanese air force. Dr. Catena also reacts to the ongoing demonstrations in Sudan against President Omar al-Bashir's 30-year rule, protests which he calls "unprecedented".
