Criminals kill 2 farmers in Rajasthan's Churu, flee with 57 goats

JAIPUR: Two farmers, who were into rearing of goats, were brutally killed at Ghaghor village under Rajgarh police station area of Churu district during early hours on Sunday by unknown assailants. The miscreants also took away 57 goats .

According to police, the matter came to light in the morning on Sunday when locals intimated the police control room about the murder of two goat farmers.

A team of senior police officers along with the team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) rushed to the spot. Senior police officers stated that the some traditional organised gangs like Kanjar and Sansi could be behind the brutal murder.

“The deceased were identified as Krishna Kumar (35) and Rajesh (37) who were sleeping in the farm. It is a clear case of murder for gain. Both were beaten to death by iron rods and batons,” said Naryan Lal Togas while talking to TOI on Sunday.

He said that the gangs of Kanjar, Sansi or Bawaria could be behind the brutal attack on the two goat farmers.

“It was also found that 57 goats were missing from the spot. This clearly indicates that it is a robbery-cummurder,” said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, a team has been constituted to investigate the case. Police have claimed getting some breakthrough on the whereabouts of the accused.
