'Criminal fire' blazes through apartment complex in early morning Coolock arson attack

Gardai are currently investigating a suspected early morning arson attack on a complex in north Dublin.

The 'criminal damage fire' took place at Cromcastle Complex in Kilmore, Coolock at 4:30am on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene as Dublin Fire Brigade dealt with the blaze but no injuries were reported.

Evidence of the fire was still visible this morning and the scene was sealed off by gardai for forensic examination.

A spokeswoman for Dublin Live said they "responded to an incident of criminal damage by fire at Cromcastle Court, Kilmore, Dublin 5 on Wednesday, 2nd October 2019 at approximately 04.30am".

She added: "No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing."
