Crime gang flooding Ireland with drugs targeted during Dublin business search

An organised drug gang have been targeted during the search of a Dublin business and two other locations today.

The Criminal Assets Bureau alongside Armed Gardai carried out searches in the capital and across Wicklow this morning.

This operation was focused on an organised crime group involved in burglary, theft and the sale and supply of controlled drugs throughout the Eastern Region.

During these searches, a 201 Toyota Landcruiser, a 171 Nissan X-Trail and an Ifor Williams trailer were seized.

A spokesman added: "This morning’s operation is a significant development in an ongoing Criminal Assets Bureau investigation into assets acquired by an OCG involved in criminality throughout the Eastern Region."
