A teenage boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed repeatedly on a bus in north-west London.

The 17-year-old was knifed in broad daylight while on a bus in Cricklewood on Saturday evening.

Photos on social media show a police van and car and two ambulances at the scene. A police cordon was put in place while forensics officers carried out an investigation.

Police and paramedics were called at about 5.30pm to Cricklewood Lane, near the junction with Cricklewood Broadway.

The victim was taken to a central London hospital.

A Met Police spokesman confirmed on Sunday morning that his injuries were not life threatening.

He added that no arrests had been made.
