Cricketing legend Jack Russell reflects on his glory days with Gloucestershire and England

This week's Subs Bench features part two of an interview with cricketing legend Jack Russell.

The popular Made in Bristol feature has found a regular home on Bristol Live with Richard Latham and Nigel Turner interviewing a host of sporting greats.

This week, Richard continues his chat with popular former England international Russell.

In this, part two of the interview, Russell reflects on the glory days of his time at Gloucestershire, in a career at his home county that stretched 23 years.

Russell was part of the side that dominated one day cricket, winning several titles under the captaincy of Mark Alleyne.

The former wicketkeeper also talks about memories of his time with England, from his debut at Lord's in 1988 to his final Test a decade later against West Indies.

He also featured in the 1989 Ashes, and reflects on how the game at Lord's in that series 'saved his career' courtesy of an unbeaten 64 on the first day of the Test.

Russell went on to get a century at Old Trafford and was named man of the series.
