Here's some great news for cricket lovers! Celebrated cricketer Francois ‘Faf’ du Plessis is all set to turn an author with his memoir 'Faf Through Fire', which will be released in India in May end this year. The news was shared by his publisher Penguin Random House India on April 18, 2023.
Francois ‘Faf’ du Plessis is currently seen as the captain of the Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bangalore team. He is also the former Captain of the South African National Cricket team.
In his upcoming memoir he shares his journey as a cricketer, his love for the game, and also reveals his struggles and triumphs. He also opens up about his growth as a person-- from being a young man with a questionable moral compass outside of the game to a person who is now well-respected. ‘Faf’ also writes about his equations and experiences with influential leaders, including: Gary Kirsten, Stephen Fleming, A.B. de Villiers, M.S. Dhoni, among others.
Talking about his memoir, Francois Faf Du Plessis said in a statement, "I am very excited about my book, 'Faf Through Fire', being launched in India. I have always felt at home here and I have been extremely blessed to receive immense support while playing in India over the years. I hope that the readers enjoy reading it as much as I loved sharing it."
It is noted that, 'Faf Through Fire' was initially published in South Africa in October 20222. It is now being published in India by Penguin's imprint Ebury Press.
