Manchester weather forecast for England vs Afghanistan Cricket World Cup 2019 match at Old Trafford

The weather forecast for England vs Afghanistan at Old Trafford tomorrow seems promising.

Fans heading to the Manchester clash shouldn't have to bring their waterproofs as experts are predicting a dry, but cloudy day.

The two countries face-off at 10:30am on Tuesday (June 18) for the Cricket World Cup 2019.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "There will be bright or sunny spells, with the best of the sunshine in the north. It will be mostly dry, perhaps with a few showers in the south later. Maximum temperature 19 °C."

If the downpours to begin, umpires can choose to reduce the overs batted by each team, as long as both sides bat for 20 overs.

As part of the tournaments rules, spectators will be entitled to a full refund of their ticket price (excluding fees) if the match is 15 overs or less and 50 per cent back if there are between 15.1 and 29.5 overs played.
