Penrith have sprung a selection surprise with in-demand playmaker Matt Burton moved to the centres for Thursday's NRL clash with Manly.
Searching for answers after Dylan Edward's broken-hand injury and a backline shortage, coach Ivan Cleary on Tuesday moved Stephen Crichton to fullback for Penrith.
With Brent Naden and Robert Jennings both suspended, Burton will shift to centre after filling in for Nathan Cleary against Melbourne and claiming man-of-the-match honours.
Cleary returns this week but the Panthers will see the selection as another reason why they have refused to let the talented Burton leave for Canterbury early.
"Look it's a great opportunity," Isaah Yeo said about the switch.
"Steve will get his hands on the ball a lot more and, little bit of a different role for Burto, but he's done it before for us and I'm sure he'll do a wonderful job."
The Panthers were one of several clubs to be dealing with reshuffles when teams were named on Tuesday.
The Sydney Roosters named teenager Sam Walker to debut alongside Drew Hutchison in the halves against the Warriors, following knee injuries to both Lachlan Lam and Luke Keary.
Jake Friend has again not been named by coach Trent Robinson as he deals with his concussion, but Victor Radley will make his long-awaited return.
Teenage sensation Joseph Suaalii is also in the reserves but is not expected to play despite only 19 top-squad players available for the injury-ravaged Roosters.
Parramatta expect halfback Mitchell Moses to beat his concussion against Wests Tigers on Monday, while Ryan Matterson is named to return against his former club.
Cronulla will also give concussed pair Wade Graham and Will Kennedy every chance to face North Queensland on Saturday night, naming them in their team.
But winger Sione Katoa could miss up to eight weeks after doing damage to both his medial ligament and PCL in his knee.
Curtis Scott (rib) and Joe Tapine (ankle) will also both miss up to two weeks for the Raiders after their brutal weekend, but Jarrod Croker (finger), Ryan James and Sebastian Kris (both concussed) have all been named.
Elsewhere, Mitchell Barnett and Jacob Saifiti are fit for Newcastle, while Blake Green will also return from the bench against a St George Illawarra side with Adam Clune at half.
Trent Barrett has also swung into action at Canterbury after their 0-3 start to the season, dropping Jake Averillo for Lachlan Lewis at five-eighth while Corey Allan has been pushed to the wing in a swap with Nick Meaney.
Melbourne will also welcome Ryan Papenhuyzen (neck) back for the Good Friday clash with Brisbane, who have Payne Haas (suspension) and Matt Lodge (hamstring) back starting in the front row.
