Crews respond after outbuilding 'severely damaged' by fire in St Ann's

Three crews were called to a fire at an outbuilding in St Ann's.

The incident was reported to the fire service at 1.50pm on Sunday, February 23, and crews from London Road, Arnold and Carlton attended the scene in Abbotsford Drive off Hungerhill Road in St Ann's.

An eye witness said the road had been taped off. A spokeswoman for the service confirmed this was cleared after the fire was put out.

The spokeswoman added: "One outbuilding was severely damaged by fire and a gas cylinder was removed from the site.

"Crews have now left the scene."

A tweet from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "1.50pm London Road Station, Arnold Station and Carlton Station attended an outbuilding which was well alight off Hungerhill Road, St Anns.

"Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the fire and removed one cylinder which was left to cool."
