Crews extinguish Braddon garage fire

Fire crews have extinguished a blaze that broke out in a garage in Braddon on Monday morning.

The fire began in the garage of a property on Burra Place just before 6am.

The blaze caused the garage's roof to partially collapse due to the damage.

No one was inside the garage at the time of the fire, and no one was needed to be evacuated from nearby properties.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesman said five fire crews responded to the blaze, which was then extinguished about 6.40am.

Crews remain on the scene of the incident to assess the damage.

A cause for the fire is yet to be determined.
