Crepeaffaire on Bristol's Queens Road has closed after four years

A restaurant on a bustling Bristol street has closed four years after opening.

Owned by restaurateur Daniel Spinath, the first ever Crepeaffaire opened in London in 2005 and the business then became franchised in 2012, allowing it to flourish with further openings throughout the UK.

Its Bristol branch opened in July 2015, located almost directly opposite the Wills Memorial Building on Queens Road, but has now closed four years on.

Explaining the reason for closure, Daniel told Bristol Live: "This is a franchised unit and the franchisee decided to relocate for personal reasons".

He added no further UK-wide closures are predicted, but instead the company hopes to open new stores across the UK.

Following the closure the brand now has 15 outlets in the UK, the majority of which are in London, as well as stores in Kuwait, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.

Crepeaffaire's Bristol restaurant departs with an overall rating of 4.6 / 5 on its Facebook page and 3.5 / 5 on TripAdvisor.

It has only been reviewed twice on the latter this year with one favourable review but the other labelling the crepes on offer 'disappointing'.

However a reviewer who visited in September last year described the food as 'delightful and filling'.

Crepes at Crepeaffaire are made fresh in front of customers with a range of sweet and savoury toppings. More information about the brand can be found on Crepeaffaire's website.
