A Newcastle restaurant has created a DIY crepe kit which is now available on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
As lockdown restrictions tighten once more, crepe specialist Crepeaffaire in intu Eldon Square has come up with the idea as a way for families to enjoy time spent at home, by rustling up some treats together which are set to bring a smile to the face.
The DIY kit contains six freshly-cooked crepes and separate pots of toppings so customers can mix and match to their own tastes.
The six varieties are Nutella, Strawberry Sauce, Toffee Sauce, Marshmallow, Sprinkles and Oreo Crumb.
The new DIY Kits, which cost £10, can be delivered to the door via Deliveroo and Uber Eats but are also available to collect from the restaurant itself in Eldon Square, which is currently hosting a Student Shopping Fortnight with a range of discounts running until October 6.
The DIY kit initiative is being rolled out at all Crepeaffaire outlets.
A spokesman said: "The toppings are a mix between indulgence with Oreo and Nutella as well as the simple child-friendly alternative.
"It's all about fun, forgetting what's going on in the world and having some family time."
