Creme Egg cupcakes are now being sold in UK supermarkets

If you're not all Creme Egg-ed out already on your hunt to track down a white version of the Easter treat, then prepare yourselves, because the iconic Cadbury treat now also comes in cake form.

Combining the beauty that is Creme Egg's gooey centre with spongy chocolate cake, the brand new Creme Egg cupcakes have been spotted by excited chocoholics at UK supermarkets.

Inside the chocolate sponge cakes there's a hidden fondant filling right in the middle, just like the original Creme Eggs we all know and love.

Aldi's giant 16oz rump steak is back - and only costs a fiver

On top there's a huge swirl of vanilla buttercream frosting, which is then topped with yellow "goo" and shards of milk chocolate.

Sadly though, the cupcakes will set you back a lot more money than your usual fairy cakes, with each pack of two Creme Egg cupcakes costing £2 a pop at Tesco , ASDA, Iceland, Spar and Co-op.

If you want a whole platter of them (we don't blame you), then they also come alongside a mini eggs version, with the 12 piece platter able to be found in all major supermarkets, priced at £8.
