A meeting place for young people in Creetown has been given a magnificent makeover for the New Year.
Volunteers have spent months refurbishing the youth club hall with the help of local tradesmen.
And now work is almost complete Eddie McGaw and his team can look back on a job well done.
The upgrade wasn’t all plain sailing – and the project hit a major snag towards the end.
Eddie said: “When we near completion the insurance company demanded a full electrical report.
“That resulted in another lot of work to virtually rewire the whole hall.
“All the original fuse boxes which were around 60 years old had to be replaced.”
Now just “a couple of wee things” remain to be done over the next few weeks, Eddie said.
He added: “When we are allowed we will have an open night.
“The hall will also be available for hire for private parties as well as group hire.”
Eddie thanked all those who donated their time, expertise, cash and goods to bring the project to fruition.
