Creetown family receives Royal seal of approval after sending gift to the Queen

A Creetown family has received the royal seal of approval for their efforts at brightening up life under lockdown.

Peter, Matthew and Isla Bishop have been making salt-dough rainbow hearts for people in the village to hang up from their windows to show their appreciation for key workers.

They also sent them to DGRI, as well as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Queen.

And they were delighted when they received a reply from Her Majesty.

Mum Liz said: “To our huge surprise and delight we received a lovely letter from Windsor Castle thanking us on behalf of the Queen for the heart!”

Members of the family are pictured with the letter.
