There’s many weird and wonderful homes around the world with fascinating architecture and many stories to tell.
But this house in Virginia definitely wins first prize for being the creepiest, as it is made completely out of gravestones.
The house has been in Petersburg since the 1930s, and although it appears to be made from plain old stone, it definitely isn’t.
Weirdly, the house looks quite cosy and inviting, surrounded by pretty flowers and luscious green grass - but the walls tell a different story.
The marble stones mark the grave sites of Union soldiers that died in the siege of Petersburg.
They were used in an effort to recycle material from government-issued marble gravestones, which were used on the house and walkway.
But what made the gravestones available? Well, during the Great Depression the government couldn’t pay for the upkeep of the gravestones.
They were cut in half and the tops were placed flat on the ground, and the bottoms were auctioned off for $45 each.
Oswald Young won these 2,200 gravestone halves and used them to build this very unique house, chimney and walkway.
This is probably the last place trick or treaters would want to visit for their sweets, and whoever dares, is seriously brave.
