Creatives against the clock for Japan

Petcha Kucha is a rapid fire slideshow event where speakers show 20 slides for 20 seconds each - a real challenge for even established speakers.

Last year some of Edinburgh's creative minds got together at Inspace on Crichton Street to hold a Pecha Kucha Day for Haiti. The organisers partnered with Architecture for Humanity (AFH) for Haiti, who sent 100% of the donations towards building a school.

On Saturday they will host presentations to raise money for AFH's aid project in Japan.

Donations will go to AFH's Rebuild Japan plans, which are beginning to be drawn up with advisors in Japan. They said:

"Japan has inspired the creative world for many generations - now it is time for the creative world to inspire Japan to rebuild. That amongst this devastation there is light - and we want everyone to know that the world is with them."

Here's a list of everyone taking part.

The event starts at 8pm on Saturday 16 April. Tickets are free but you're best reserving a spot here.
