Creative business hub signs up firms for extra office space

A commercial hub for creative businesses in Glasgow has let more than 3,200 sq ft during the summer, driven mainly by tenant expansions.

Software developer Ingeniuus has expanded into a larger suite of 713 sq ft at The Whisky Bond , while Tag Digital upped its space to 1,632 sq ft, and training company Esteem took an additional 344 sq ft.

New tenants also took space at the waterfront building, with Cotopaxi , an energy process and optimisation consultancy, taking 554 sq ft.

The Whisky Bond is in Spiers Lock on the regenerated Glasgow Canal close to Glasgow city centre and Cowcaddens and St George's Cross subway stations.

It is spread over seven floors and offers 100,000 sq ft of studio and office space to those working in the creative and cultural industries.

The Whisky Bond's Fiona McFadyen said: "As much as we are always delighted to welcome new tenants to our creative community, it is equally exciting to see our existing occupiers thrive and expand into larger spaces as they begin to require additional space to allow them to grow.

“Our tenants are the lifeblood of our space and to see them succeed and expand, which in some cases is due to collaborations within the building, is really inspiring."
